Paradoxical is Wild my Gul
Updated: Sep 16
Paradoxical as it may seem, the purposeful life has no content, no point. It hurries on and on, and misses everything. Not hurrying, the purposeless life misses nothing, for it is only when there is no goal and no rush that the human sense are fully open to receive the world ~ Alan Watts
Before I break down this quote & describe it through my own perception. I would like to express about how is the entire universe an illusion meaning not real at all & yet it is real. Coming from The Kybalion it states “this is the Paradox of the Universe, resulting from the Principle of Polarity which manifests when THE ALL begins to Create — hearken to it for it points the difference between half-wisdom and wisdom. While to THE INFINITE ALL, the Universe, its Laws, its Powers, its Life, its Phenomena, are as things witnessed in the state of Meditation or Dream; yet to all that is Finite, the Universe must be treated as Real, and life, and action, and thought, must be based thereupon, accordingly, although with an ever understanding of the Higher Truth. Each according to its own Plane and Laws. Were THE ALL to imagine that the Universe were indeed Reality, then woe to the Universe, for there would be then no escape from lower to higher, divineward — then would the Universe become a fixity and progress would become impossible. And if Man, owing to half-wisdom, acts and lives and thinks of the Universe as merely a dream (akin to his own finite dreams) then indeed does it so become for him, and like a sleep-walker he stumbles ever around and around in a circle, making no progress, and being forced into an awakening at last by his falling bruised and bleeding over the Natural Laws which he ignored. Keep your mind ever on the Star, but let your eyes watch over your footsteps, lest you fall into the mire by reason of your upward gaze. Remember the Divine Paradox, that while the Universe IS NOT, still IT IS. Remember ever the Two Poles of Truth — the Absolute and the Relative. Beware of half-Truths.” Yesterday (5/2/2020), I had a thought that was so profound & yet simple as fuck. By pretending it is actually happening, it can manifest in my reality. So I remember I was doing my libation for my ritual for my energies but didn’t have any liquor. I just didn’t feel like making a run to the liquor store.
So I was like okay I am going to pretend or imagine that this water shot is a real liquor shot. I even made the liquor shakes when it went down my throat (to my alcohol drinkers they know that shake feeling lol). I didn’t think nothing to it. Like a week later or so, I did this favor for this guy & he gave me two big cups of dark liquor (some Spanish liquor I think). I was like oh, I’m going to use this for a ritual & that’s when it hit me. I was like ohhh, I manifested this. I remembered another time when I didn’t have any marijuana to smoke (when I was smoking back in the days). So I pretended to smoke like I really had some. I even coughed when I was hitting that joint. I even acted like I was smoking with somebody else. Having a conversation & everything while passing the joint back & forth. Next thing I know, somebody smoked me out. To the point I used to smoke weed every day, 365 days straight! What I am getting at. My mind can not tell the difference between what is real & what is fake. Even though this reality is an illusion, my mind thinks it is very real. I can slap my hand on this table & feel the sensation running through my hands. Coming from sciencealert.com/99-9999999-of-your-body-is-empty-space it states “some days, you might feel like a pretty substantial person. Maybe you have a lot of friends, or an important job, or a really big car. But it might humble you to know that all of those things – your friends, your office, your really big car, you yourself, and even everything in this incredible, vast Universe – are almost entirely, 99.9999999 percent empty space. Here’s the deal. As I previously wrote in a story for the particle physics publication Symmetry, the size of an atom is governed by the average location of its electrons: how much space there is between the nucleus and the atom’s amorphous outer shell. Nuclei are around 100,000 times smaller than the atoms they’re housed in. If the nucleus were the size of a peanut, the atom would be about the size of a baseball stadium. If we lost all the dead space inside our atoms, we would each be able to fit into a particle of dust, and the entire human species would fit into the volume of a sugar cube.”
It’s pretty amazing that the our universe is damn near empty space & yet it feels so fucking real. But compared to THE ALL, it’s a fleeting dream. Our minds can’t tell the different between an imagination & the world we perceive with our five senses. Like what Neo asked Morpheus from the The Matrix. If I die in the Matrix, do I die here in Zion (I’m paraphrasing this)? Even our dreams are an illusion. I remembered I was getting some pussy from some chick in my dream & woke up from the dream because I had to use the restroom with my phallus on brink hard lmao! If my mind think it is real, my body follows. If that quote from the beginning of this blog didn’t fucked up your head like it did mine, whew! Gul, you wildin lol. But I think I understand where he is coming from. Paradox & the principle of polarity are one in the same thing. There are different degrees of the same energy. So the illusion is that everything & everyone seems separate but on a deeper level, we are all but one energy. But that quote from the beginning of this blog is self contradictory, right? So let’s break down this quote.
First let’s define paradox.
Coming from http://www.spirithome.com/paradox.html it defines paradox
a situation where two facts/situations seem opposite or contradictory, and a link between them can seem absurd, yet both can be true at the same time, or at least partially so. Often, they involve how we think of things. For instance, when something ends, something else begins, so endings are beginnings too, and beginnings are endings. They sound like the rubbish of philosophical circular thinking - and sometimes they are.
A paradox is not the same as contradiction, because contradiction is either/or (or mostly so but with specific known exceptions), while a paradox is both/and, though it doesn't have to be equally so.
A paradox is not something beyond thought (that would be mystery - or perhaps philosophical rubbish). It's something that helps you actually think beyond the words or the situation. You don't find the meaning of a paradox, you find meaning through a paradox.
a medical practice. (... yeah, I know... it's as old as vaudeville... ) ;)
Word origin: Greek paradoxōs, < para- (beyond) + doxa (opinion, thought, idea; < dokhein (to think))].
So paradoxical isn't self contradictory hmmmmmm!!!!
So like I expressed before, paradox & polarity are both sides of the same energy. Polarity is another principle from the Kybalion book so I will discuss more about it later on in this blog series. Anyways, how I interpreted this quote from the beginning of this blog. I have goals & by being focus entirely on that goal. I miss everything else in life. Not be able to wake up when I want or go to sleep late late at night like I want. No booty calls etc. The other part of the quote states that by being purposeless I am completely open to all experiences. I don’t have any routines, I can chill & smell the roses. I don’t have to go to work just because I don’t need money to survive. I can have intellectual conversations all day everyday. I can play & have fun all day everyday. But from my studies & research the best way I believe & know to live by is through balance. There are times when I can bullshit & chill. There are other times when I am on my grind shit & not focus on anything or anybody else. Only focus on my dreams, goals, & purpose.
"The half-wise, recognizing the comparative unreality of the Universe, imagine that they may defy its Laws — such are vain and presumptuous fools, and they are broken against the rocks and torn asunder by the elements by reason of their folly. The truly wise, knowing the nature of the Universe, use Law against laws; the higher against the lower; and by the Art of Alchemy transmute that which is undesirable into that which is worthy, and thus triumph. Mastery consists not in abnormal dreams, visions and fantastic imaginings or living, but in using the higher forces against the lower — escaping the pains of the lower planes by vibrating on the higher. Transmutation, not presumptuous denial, is the weapon of the Master." — The Kybalion.
